Dr. Anton Du Preez
Operational Director
Anton is an electrical engineer with a Doctor of Science degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Risk Management. He has also completed advanced studies in industrial marketing and strategic business planning and is a Founder Member of the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business.
Anton has served on the board of the Centre for Offshore Safety (COS) representing the National Offshore Industry Association (NOIA) and has participated in technical presentations regarding offshore operations to the US Senate. He has presented technical papers at international conferences for the Society of Petroleum Engineers and at various law seminars. Anton has successfully developed several companies and business units in the risk management, software and energy industry while living in Chile, Brazil and the USA. Anton has a passion for the development of business and how disruptive technologies are shaping markets and how society changes because of that. In 2016, he and his wife returned to South Africa and are currently residing in the Western Cape.
Leonora Crous
Leonora is an entrepreneur with a background in human resource and remuneration management. She worked locally and internationally at a major oil and gas company for 27 years. Leonora has a wide base of experience having worked for the Olympic Committee for the Qatari government and in various industries in South Africa including in groundbreaking technologies such as alternative energy.
Leonora has successfully established and grown a resource protection equipment company and the combination of entrepreneurship and understanding of disruptive technology makes her a valuable member of the GoldShield team.
Leonora currently resides in Gauteng.
